The war continues between Walmart and Amazon for total retail dominance and it recent months it seems Walmart has picked up the pace.

So How Does This Affect You
The increase in shares has been largely associated with investors optimism that Walmart can effectively compete against Amazon. Though there are doubts that Walmart will ever overtake the online giants position in the ecommerce space, it does show that both the Walmart Marketplace and Jet (owned by Walmart) are serious marketplaces to consider due to the amount of backing they have.
